You Only Live Once

If you’re overworked, overstressed, overwhelmed, then please take a break and think about this.

You only live once. You only get one chance at life. Only you can make sure you’re doing things worth having on your book of deeds on the Day of Judgment.

It’s rare that someone else will come and help you rebuild your life or put the pieces of your story together. Only you know what your life has been all about, and where you really want to go. Please don’t ignore the bigger purpose and look at the larger picture of your life.

Whatever you choose, make sure it takes you at the very least to the top or the middle of Jannah.

Don’t aim as low as just entering Paradise. That must never be your goal. When do you expect the best for your life, family, friends and career then why aim at the rock bottom? You may neither get to that rock if that’s what you focus on or the lowest part of it.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“So if you ask of Allah, then ask Him for al-Firdaws, for it is the middle of Paradise and the highest part of Paradise. I think above it is the Throne of ar-Rahman and from it spring the rivers of Paradise.”
