Some people associate the recitation of Quran culturally with death, and assume that Quran is a source of sad reminders and punishments alone.
The reason behind this flawed perception is a blind cultural practice, that somehow became the norm among our people.
Allah revealed the Quran to provide us with a guiding light, and heal our hearts, He sent us the Final Message to surround us with His mercy and blessings.
Quran was not meant to be recited for a while at someone’s deathbed, it is meant to be recited in all seasons of our lives.
The punishments mentioned in the Quran are for those who don’t take heed and arrogantly turn away from submission to their Lord.
As for the believers, the Quran will guide the seekers of the truth and all those who wish to attain the mercy of their Lord.
“And We send down of the Qur’an that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss.”
