Source of Strength

The one who recites and memorises the Quran is blessed by being in the company of the angels, but additionally the one who struggles to read and strives hard to memorize is rewarded double, by the mercy and generosity of Allah. Thus, any difficulty that you encounter on your journey to Allah, through the memorization of Quran, and in general, is magnified in rewards when the difficulty on your path is greater.

The Prophet ﷺ said, “The example of one who recites the Quran and memorizes it is that of one with the ‘righteous and noble scribes’ (80:15). The example of one who recites the Quran and is committed to it, although it is difficult for him, is that of one with a double reward.” – Sahih Al Bukhari

There is no doubt that the one who memorises more Quran will, in most cases, be able to recite more in prayer. The recitation of Quran is one of the most enjoyable parts of prayer, and having the ability to elongate your standing in front of Allah is greatly rewarding.
